With "Flow" Abelha Supersónica presented a small impression of the direction of her vision of interactive sound & movement-Performances.
As a part of Daniel Theiler´s installation FUNARAL @ Museum für angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt am Main, she explorates a social field in a new way a used the transformation processes of technic, body, sound and movement and makes them visible for the audience.
In doing so, it challenges a conscious irritation that wants to stimulate new impulses in the context of space, technology and body.

The work is based on an approach of interactive soundmovement that focuses dealing with different forms of connection and transformation. In using digital technology (here Playtronica) a bridge is built that connects creative possibilities of expression and design research of sound expression.

A Performative Exploration of the Digital and Technical Influence on Humanity

Maschinenmensch is a striking artistic performance that delves into the growing influence of technology and digitization on human identity and emotion. It examines whether humans remain defined by their feelings or have become mere puppets of external forces—detached, emotionless, and driven by capitalist, performance-oriented ideologies.

The performance critiques the „cold, mechanical foundation“ that seduces humanity with its deceptive allure, reducing individuals to cogs in a system. In this pursuit, people abandon their individuality and emotional depth, adopting superficiality and emotional numbness until they become empty shells.

The project is a call to awaken from this condition, represented as a transformation through two dynamic stages of performance: Blue Part and Red Part.

Blue Part: The Awakening of Sensation

The Blue Part introduces the „cold, empty Maschinenmensch,“ who begins to sense a primal struggle within—a longing for life.

Red Part: Transformation and Reclamation

The Red Part symbolizes the awakening and subsequent internal transformation of the Maschinenmensch. This phase is defined by musical evolution, symbolizing life’s irregularity and individuality.

In the „Red Part,“ music serves as the central medium, portraying a process that mirrors the transformation of the Maschinenmensch through the gradual build-up of various musical elements using a Looper.

The lyrics in the „Red Part“ convey a sense of awakening, both externally and internally. The individual seeks to recognize and affirm that they are not a machine. It is a motivational call to acknowledge this change and a challenge to put this transformation into action. Sometimes, one must „talk oneself into“ something to clarify who or what they truly are and to build belief in it! The longer manipulation takes hold, the harder it becomes to break free from it. Thus, everything conducive to reclaiming oneself and reaching outward should be shouted aloud to initiate and support this vital process of transformation.

Maschinenmensch – Eine künstlerische Performance, die sich mit dem technischen & digitalen Einfluss auf den Menschen auseinandersetzt…

Der Mensch…Ist der Mensch was er fühlt?
Ist der Mensch „lebendig“ solange er noch spürt? 
ODER DOCH NUR:
…ein Spielball der äußeren Umstände?
…ohne Gefühle und geprägt von kapitalistischem, leistungs- und gewinnorientiertem Denken?

Ein eiskaltes Fundament, das mit trügerischem Charme die Menschen zu verführen vermag und zu Lakaien des Systems werden lässt. Dafür geben sie ihre kostbare Individualität und Emotionalität auf. Sie folgen den Vorgaben und führen diese aus ohne sich ihrer eigenen Gedanken und Erfahrungen (selbstreflektiert) zu bedienen. Wie Maschinen werden sie gesteuert und merken dabei gar nicht wie Oberflächlichkeit und emotionale Kälte Einzug nehmen in ihr Leben bis sie nur noch eine leere Hülle sind.

Das Projekt Maschinenmensch ist ein Aufschrei dieses Zustands. Es ist eine Transformation, die sich vollzieht im Verlauf der künstlerischen Performance.

„Blue PART“

Am Anfang („Blue Part“) wird mit dem Medium Stimme und Körper der „kalte, leere Maschinenmensch“ dargestellt, der merkt wie etwas in ihm kämpft „für ein Hauch von Leben“.

Der kriechende Start des Maschinenmensch auf dem Boden, der sich atmend vor robbt symbolisiert den Prozess der folgenden Metamorphose, die sich in einem unterbewussten Zustand in ihm regt. Von einem eher mechanischem, roboterhaften „Dasein“ geprägt erlebt der „Mensch“ ein Aufschrei seiner Sinne – ein Aufschrei des Lebens. Seine Glieder, seine Mimik, seine Stimme und der Körper generell visualisieren diesen Aufschrei und den Kampf darum, aus dem Käfig ausbrechen zu können.

Der Maschinenmensch „erwacht“ und spürt plötzlich wieder etwas… „Ick will hier raus“, am Ende des Parts steht für den Ausbruch aus dem „inneren“ und „äußeren“ Käfig.

„Red PART“

Der folgende Teil („Red Part“) der Performance steht für den Prozess des Erwachens und die daraus folgende „innere“ Transformation des Maschinenmensch.

Im „red Part“ ist die Musik das tragende Medium, dass mit dem Aufbau der verschiedenen musikalischen Elemente unter Zuhilfenahme des „Loopers“, ebenso einen Prozess darstellt, wie der Maschinenmensch selbst.

Mit dem Text des Musikstücks im Red Part wird eine Art Erwachen sowohl nach Außen, wie auch nach Innen ausgedrückt. Der Mensch versucht sich damit zu verdeutlichen, dass er keine Maschine ist. Es ist ein Aufruf der Motivation zu sich selbst, diese Änderung wahrzunehmen und eine Aufforderung diese Veränderung auch umzusetzen. Denn manchmal muss man sich selbst die Dinge auch „einreden“, um sich klar zu machen, wer/ was man eigentlich ist und damit man daran glauben kann! Je länger die Manipulation auf einen einwirkt, um so schwieriger wird das Lösen davon! Daher darf alles dafür Förderliche zu sich selbst und nach Draußen geschrien werden, um den lebenswichtigen Veränderungsprozess anzukurbeln und zu unterstützen.

The video documentation is the result of the research and the answer of the following question:

In which way the Kulturgate can enable cultural & social exchange?

The Kulturgate is an urban common project that was founded by Ute Jaroß in 2012.
A red container is used to store materials and shows visitors the way to a platform for active leisure, culture and art @ the Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin.
In cooperation with volunteer partners the visitors can participate on regular offers and irregular specials. Everything is done on a voluntary basis
The diverse socio-cultural potential of this place aroused my curiosity and brought me to my research question:

In which way the kulturgate can enable cultural & social exchange? 

Using artistic and ethnographic methods, it was possible to capture how the Kulturgate appropriation of the social space and promotes participation.
My research has shown that Kulturgate is a place of exchange.
The different offers encourage visitors to participate and promote social exchange in a special way.

A touch of light,
or was it just an illusion?
A thought, born from the desire
to make inner brightness manifest outwardly?

Reality... what is that?
Is it what I believe I see?
Or what I feel?
Or do I perhaps see as I feel?
Or feel as I see?

The darkness that resides within me,
born from feelings,
and yet grown into this feeling
only through external oppression.

An interplay that seems to be
woven together.

A touch of light,
the hope for inner brightness.
Brightness that stands for ease and carefreeness,
for which everything within me so deeply longs!

Audioprojekt zum Thema Corona Auswirkungen auf Geist und Seele, sowie künstlerisches Schaffen im sozialen Kontext/ „coronakonform“.

Ein Hauch von Licht,
oder war es nur Einbildung?
Ein Gedanke, der den Wunsch
Von innerer Helligkeit im Äußeren
wahr werden lassen wollte?
Realität…was ist das?
Ist es das, was ich glaube zu sehen?
Oder das, was ich fühle?
Oder sehe ich vielleicht so wie ich fühle?
Oder fühle ich gar, was ich sehe?
Die Dunkelheit, die mein inneres beherbergt,
durch Gefühl entstanden,
und doch durch äußere Beklemmung erst zu diesem
Gefühl erwachsen.
Ein Zusammenspiel, das miteinander verwoben zu
sein scheint.
Ein Hauch von Licht,
die Hoffnung der inneren Helligkeit.
Helligkeit, die für Leichtigkeit und Unbeschwertheit
steht,
nach der sich alles in mir so sehr sehnt!
