The technological capabilities of the Playtron interface are not simply used as tools to produce sounds, but as an interface that enables a deeper, sensory experience of the body’s physical and emotional presence. What emerges is an artistic reality that oscillates between the poles of sound and touch, movement and technology, transforming the space into a shimmering network of impressions.

Irritation – Flow is an interactive performance that uniquely stages the dialogue between body, technology, and space. It explores the tension between irritation and flow—two states that, in their interplay, open up new creative possibilities. Planned movements are intentionally interrupted by technical disruptions, challenging the performer to spontaneously adapt and find creative solutions. These „interruptions“ are not seen as setbacks but as opportunities that lead art down unexplored paths.

The performance uses the body as a sound generator, translating movement into sound through sensors and digital technology. Everyday materials like skin, plants, and objects interact with the technology to create a vibrant soundscape. What makes this performance especially unique is the active involvement of the audience: they become co-creators, influencing the course of the performance through their own reactions. This creates an ever-changing, collaborative experience.

„Irritation – Flow“ is rooted in the research approaches of the project „KlangBewegung,“ which explores new forms of interactive and participatory art. The project not only fosters creative processes but also demonstrates significant potential for social and educational contexts. It invites participants to discover new ways of collaboration and reflection, activating social, creative, and educational processes.

31.08.2023 a s a part of Daniel Theiler´s installation FUNARAL @ Museum für angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt am Main, the work explores a social field in a new way and used the transformation processes of technic, body, sound and movement to make their flows visible for the audience.

In doing so, it challenges a conscious irritation that wants to stimulate new impulses in the context of space, technology and body.

Abelha Supersónica with „Flow“/ Frankfurt, DE
