In the spirit of Merleau-Ponty the body is the core of my practice – the central element – as interface of perception and transformation.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Abelha Supers\u00f3nica is an artist and researcher working in the fields of sound art, installation, and performance. Her practice aims to create interactive experiences that provide physical approach to the world. Additionally she is exploring the potential of innovative (digital) technological developments. Abelha works with various types of media to create immersive experiences that challenge traditional modes of perception. Her goal is to weave individual experiences with collective ones, making the creative process a shared act of co-creation. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A defining example of her work is the project „KlangStimme“. In this project, Abelha explores the transformative power of sound as a medium for personal reflection and collective resonance. At Goetheplatz in Mainz, she initiated a process where participants creatively transformed their own emotions and experiences into sound sequences. With simple, self-made sound instruments, these inner states were translated into audible expressions that were both introspective and communally experienced. The sounds were installed as interactive modules in the public space, allowing visitors to activate the compositions by touch. The installation thus became a dynamic dialogue between the individual and the community, where personal and collective perspectives merged in an ever-changing soundscape. „KlangStimme“ is an exemplary piece showcasing Abelha Supers\u00f3nica\u2019s ability to translate complex emotional and social dynamics into accessible, participatory artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abelha Supers\u00f3nica\u2019s works reflect her commitment to societal and ecological issues such as social justice, diversity, inclusion and ecological responsibility, as well as her artistic and critical engagement with technological progress. Through participatory and interactive approaches, she creates spaces where these relevant topics can be explored and discussed. Her art invites active participation, encourages the audience to reflect on these issues, and fosters a deeper sense of connection and collective awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein pr\u00e4gendes Beispiel ihrer Arbeit ist das Projekt „KlangStimme“. In diesem Projekt erforscht Abelha die transformative Kraft von Klang als Medium f\u00fcr pers\u00f6nliche Reflexion und kollektive Resonanz. Am Goetheplatz in Mainz initiiert sie einen Prozess, in dem die Teilnehmenden ihre eigenen Emotionen und Erfahrungen kreativ in Klangsequenzen umwandeln. Mit einfachen, selbstgebauten Klanginstrumenten werden diese inneren Zust\u00e4nde in h\u00f6rbare Ausdrucksformen \u00fcbersetzt, die sowohl introspektiv als auch gemeinschaftlich erlebbar sind. Die Kl\u00e4nge werden als interaktive Module im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum installiert, sodass Besucher:innen des Goetheplatzes durch Ber\u00fchrung die Kompositionen aktivieren k\u00f6nnen. Die Installation entwickelt sich so zu einem lebendigen Dialog zwischen Individuum und Gemeinschaft, in dem pers\u00f6nliche und kollektive Perspektiven in einer sich st\u00e4ndig ver\u00e4ndernden Klanglandschaft miteinander verschmelzen. „KlangStimme“ ist ein herausragendes Beispiel f\u00fcr Abelha Supers\u00f3nicas F\u00e4higkeit, komplexe emotionale und soziale Dynamiken in ein zug\u00e4ngliches, partizipatives Kunstwerk zu \u00fcbersetzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abelha Supers\u00f3nicas Arbeiten spiegeln ihr Engagement f\u00fcr gesellschaftliche und \u00f6kologische Themen wie soziale Gerechtigkeit, Diversit\u00e4t, Inklusion und \u00f6kologische Verantwortung sowie ihre k\u00fcnstlerische als auch kritische Auseinandersetzung mit technologischem Fortschritt.
