Sound Plants \u2013 Haptic Sound Objects Between Nature, Technology & Imagination<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sound Plants\u00a0are hand-crafted, playable sound objects \u2013 simple \u201csound flowers\u201d made from craft wood, recycled materials, and small resonant structures. Each plant carries its own acoustic identity: sometimes as a membranophone, chordophone, idiophone, or an organic hybrid of them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installed in a room, they invite visitors\u00a0from the very young to the very old\u00a0to explore sound through the body: touching, stroking, rubbing, tapping, swinging. It is an analog, sensory way of discovering the world through listening, feeling, and physical resonance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using\u00a0piezo pickups, the delicate vibrations of each plant are amplified \u2013 and often shaped further through\u00a0sound effectsthat stretch, transform, or layer the tones. This opens up sonic spaces that extend far beyond the material object itself: immersive, unexpected universes of sound, detached from the familiar rhythms of everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plants become portals, drawing players into poetic acoustic worlds while sharpening their awareness of what resonance can be. At the same time, they create a\u00a0shared sonic environment\u00a0in which people improvise, experiment, and naturally fall into dialogue through sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klangpflanzen \u2013 Haptische Soundobjekte zwischen Natur, Technik und Fantasie<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Klangpflanzen\u00a0sind von mir handgefertigte, spielbare Klangobjekte \u2013 einfache \u201eKlangblumen\u201c aus Bastelholz, recycelten Materialien und kleinen Resonanzk\u00f6rpern. Jede Pflanze besitzt ihre eigene akustische Identit\u00e4t: mal als Membranophon, Chordophon, Idiophon oder als organische Mischung daraus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Raum installiert laden sie Besucher:innen\u00a0von den ganz Kleinen bis ins hohe Alter\u00a0ein, Klang \u00fcber den eigenen K\u00f6rper zu entdecken: ber\u00fchren, reiben, streichen, schwingen, klopfen. Ein analoges, unmittelbares Erkunden der Welt durch H\u00f6ren, F\u00fchlen, Sp\u00fcren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcber\u00a0Piezo-Tonabnehmer\u00a0werden die feinen Vibrationen der Pflanzen verst\u00e4rkt \u2013 und oft durch\u00a0Effektger\u00e4te verfremdet, gedehnt oder verflochten. So \u00f6ffnen sich Klangr\u00e4ume, die weit \u00fcber das Ausgangsmaterial hinausreichen: ein Eintauchen in ungeahnte akustische Universen, fernab des Allt\u00e4glichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Pflanzen werden so zu Portalen: Sie f\u00fchren die Spielenden in fremde, poetische Klangwelten und sch\u00e4rfen die Wahrnehmung f\u00fcr das, was Resonanz sein kann. Gleichzeitig entsteht ein\u00a0sozialer Soundraum, in dem Menschen gemeinsam improvisieren, experimentieren und miteinander in Kontakt kommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
